UnicornTack was very proud to sponsor one of the teams that competed in the Team Event that was held at the Cyril Geoghan Stadium in Durban. The courses were designed by Andreas Hollmann from Germany, who did again this year, built some awesome tracks. Our Team was called Team Watchfire (each team was named after one of our famous top SA show jumpers). Lisa Williams was the captain, our other team members were young Jodi Pieters from Natal, Cara Frew, Samantha Mackintosh, and last but not least Gavat Triggol, giving the team a male flavour. It was a fabulous show, that was organised by Sue Pieters, and a very capable team of assistants. Ethekweni Council did us proud in the preparation of their facility in Durban. Sue attracted some very good sponsors, which paved the way to attracting most of our top Gauteng riders. The show went off without a hitch, apart from high winds on the Thursday night, which (luckily no injuries) a temporary stable block decided to hop over the adjacent block. The big FEI qualifier was won by the wonderful Gold Rush with Sean Neil. It was a long show, but I think everyone went home with good memories.
